Why laser?

Compared with conventional open surgery, laser treatment means minimal pain, no large raw wounds left to heal, less bleeding, quicker healing, and — for most people — a same-day discharge and a fast return to normal life. The first bowel motion after laser is usually far more comfortable than after traditional surgery.

Do piles always need surgery?

No. Early-grade piles often settle with more fibre and fluids, avoiding straining, and short courses of medication. Laser treatment is considered when piles bleed persistently, prolapse, or significantly affect quality of life. If you don't need a procedure, you'll be told so honestly.

Always get bleeding checked

While piles are the most common cause of bleeding from the back passage, bleeding should never be assumed to be “just piles” without examination — a proper assessment makes sure nothing more serious is missed.
