Procedure

Laparoscopic GI Surgery

Keyhole surgery for gallbladder stones, appendicitis, and other gastrointestinal conditions — performed with precision optics and modern energy devices for a faster, gentler recovery.

Conditions treated

  • Gallstones & gallbladder disease — laparoscopic cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal)
  • Appendicitis — laparoscopic appendix removal
  • Other GI conditions — assessed and managed with a minimal access approach where appropriate

Gallbladder removal

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is one of the most common and well-established operations in the world. The gallbladder is removed through a few small keyhole ports, usually as day-care or a single overnight stay. You can live a completely normal life without your gallbladder — the liver continues to make bile, which simply flows directly into the intestine.

Why keyhole GI surgery?

The minimal access approach means smaller incisions, less pain, fewer wound problems, and a quicker return to eating and normal activity than open surgery — with the same operation achieved inside.
